Hunt Assisted Living became one of the largest owners and operators of assisted living facilities in the Mid-Atlantic region with two dozen facilities in North Carolina .  Virginia Capital was the company’s first institutional investor.  Virginia Capital and it’s co-investors provided more than $10 million of equity to grow internally, develop new operations and redeem founding shareholders.  The company was sold in 1999 to a strategic buyer.
