American Exposition Centers acquires, develops, owns and operates exposition centers in the southeastern United States.  The company is growing by opening new locations and acquiring existing businesses.  The exposition center industry is characterized by substantial barriers to entry, excellent recurring revenue and strong profit margins.  Virginia Capital was the company’s first institutional investor.  The company recently sold the assets of Happy's Exposition Center, which operated a flea market in Roanoke, Virginia.
